Many condos offer additional services like concierge, dry cleaning pickup, or maintenance services. Factor these conveniences into your rental value assessment.
Request written consent before drilling or painting. Confirm patching and color reinstatement at move out. Keep invoices for any professional work. Small changes can improve livability, but agreeing responsibilities now prevents friction when returning the unit later.
Master rooms often face away from common corridors and have better sound insulation. The ensuite means fewer bathroom queue interactions with housemates. Larger windows might offer better views and natural light. However, check if the master room faces busy streets or neighboring blocks, which could impact privacy and noise levels.
Condo deliveries usually go through security. If you're not home, couriers often leave parcels at the guardhouse or management office for you to collect later. Some condos will call you or have lockers for packages. Find out your condo's parcel procedure so you don't miss any packages.
Furnishing a 4-bedroom requires more furniture (beds, sofas, tables, etc.), so budget and plan accordingly. You can furnish gradually room by room. Cleaning is also a bigger job – more floor space, more bathrooms, more surfaces to wipe. Expect to spend extra time on chores or consider hiring help.
