At Hozuko, we strive to create a safe and trustworthy environment for everyone. Verifying your account helps us achieve this by ensuring that each user has a real identity backing their profile. Here's why verification matters:
Enhanced Visibility
Listings from verified accounts appear before listings from unverified accounts in search results, which means greater visibility and more approaches from potential renters.
Builds Trust
Verified accounts are seen as more credible, making interactions smoother and safer.
Reduces Fraud and Scams
By verifying accounts — whether via Singpass or through Hozuko’s business verification — we hold users more accountable for their actions and create a safer community overall.
How We Verify
We currently support two ways to verify your account:
👨🏻 Singpass Verification (for individuals)
We use Singpass, Singapore's national digital identity platform. It’s a trusted and secure way to confirm the identity of individuals renting out property.
When you verify your account using Singpass:
We don’t collect sensitive personal data like your NRIC/FIN number, date of birth, registered address, etc.
We collect a Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) to verify your identity while respecting your privacy.
This approach strikes the right balance between security and privacy, ensuring your identity is verified while keeping your sensitive information confidential.
🏢 Hozuko Verification (for businesses)
We also verify selected business accounts such as co-living operators or long-term partners. These accounts display a “Verified by Hozuko” badge after our team manually confirms their legitimacy and ownership.

What is a UUID?
A UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) is a string of random characters. Every Singpass user is assigned a UUID which uniquely identifies an individual.
Here's what a UUID looks like:

- Privacy-Friendly: A UUID cannot be traced back to your personal details outside the Singpass system.
- Sufficient for Verification: A UUID is all we need to confirm your identity using Singpass. This ensures your sensitive information remains private while maintaining a secure and reliable verification process.
How to Verify Your Account
For Individuals
Go to your Profile and click on the button 
For Businesses
If you're a co-living operator, or long-term partner:
